The Grant County County Department of Corrections, through the Sheriff of Grant County County, operates the Grant County Detention Center in Silver City, Silver City, New Mexico. Grant County Detention Center is one of the largest single-site county correctional facilities in the United States, holding up to 5,000 inmates daily and admitting up 93,000 pre-trial detainees each year.
