The Valencia County County Department of Corrections, through the Sheriff of Valencia County County, operates the Valencia County Detention Center in Los Lunas, Los Lunas, New Mexico. Valencia County Detention Center is one of the largest single-site county correctional facilities in the United States, holding up to 9,000 inmates daily and admitting up 115,000 pre-trial detainees each year.
