The Orange County County Department of Corrections, through the Sheriff of Orange County County, operates the Orange County Jail in Hillsborough, Hillsborough, North Carolina. Orange County Jail is one of the largest single-site county correctional facilities in the United States, holding up to 5,000 inmates daily and admitting up 116,000 pre-trial detainees each year.
