The Duval County County Department of Corrections, through the Sheriff of Duval County County, operates the Duval County Jail in San Diego, San Diego, Texas. Duval County Jail is one of the largest single-site county correctional facilities in the United States, holding up to 5,000 inmates daily and admitting up 95,000 pre-trial detainees each year. Duval County Jail sits on a 90-acre land with 10 divisions, 4 onsite Sheriff’s departments, a health services facility, 4 education departments, a dayroom, and privatized food service and Duval County Jail commissary.
