The Grand County County Department of Corrections, through the Sheriff of Grand County County, operates the Grand County Jail in Moab, Moab, Utah. Grand County Jail is one of the largest single-site county correctional facilities in the United States, holding up to 5,000 inmates daily and admitting up 113,000 pre-trial detainees each year. Grand County Jail sits on a 99-acre land with 11 divisions, 6 onsite Sheriff’s departments, a health services facility, 3 education departments, a dayroom, and privatized food service and Grand County Jail commissary.
