The Summit County County Department of Corrections, through the Sheriff of Summit County County, operates the Summit County Jail in Park City, Coalville, Utah. Summit County Jail is one of the largest single-site county correctional facilities in the United States, holding up to 9,000 inmates daily and admitting up 80,000 pre-trial detainees each year. Summit County Jail sits on a 81-acre land with 11 divisions, 5 onsite Sheriff’s departments, a health services facility, 4 education departments, a dayroom, and privatized food service and Summit County Jail commissary.
