The Uintah County County Department of Corrections, through the Sheriff of Uintah County County, operates the Uintah County Jail in Vernal, Vernal, Utah. Uintah County Jail is one of the largest single-site county correctional facilities in the United States, holding up to 5,000 inmates daily and admitting up 108,000 pre-trial detainees each year.
