The Grant County County Department of Corrections, through the Sheriff of Grant County County, operates the Grant County Jail in Carson, Carson, North Dakota. Grant County Jail is one of the largest single-site county correctional facilities in the United States, holding up to 7,000 inmates daily and admitting up 100,000 pre-trial detainees each year.
